Treasures Anew is moving May 1, 2018

Dear Consignors and Clients,

Well, the deed is done!  I signed the lease to our new location 2 weeks ago and we will definitely be moving to our new home at 1390 Clyde Avenue, Ottawa K2G 3H9 (near Denny’s Restaurant) on May 1, 2018.  And wouldn’t you know it, the City just sent out an update stating that they have extended the vacate date of September 1, 2018 to February 1, 2019.  While I appreciate that many of my fellow shop keepers will be happy for the reprieve, frankly moving in the dead of winter is just not very appealing to me.  So, all in all, I’m very happy with moving sooner than later.

By the way, thank you to all who gave us a vote of confidence by allowing us to move their items to our new store.  Not one consignor declined!  And more touching, we have had so many offers of help — everything from lending us totes to helping us pack.   The generosity of spirit has overwhelmed me.  I never thought that Treasures Anew had so many caring friends amongst its family of consignors.  We are truly blest.

But now, let’s move onto more important seasonal issues.  Are you ready for the Bunny to hop on by with his basket of low-cal chocolate?  You will certainly need his help to offset the ham, turkey, mashed potatoes and sweets that you’ll shortly cram into your gob.  But, it is so worth it, especially after this awful and bone-chilling winter. We need to decompress and this is the best way to do it.  Enjoy yourself.  You can start your diet next week.

And I can so smell spring in the air…and as you know, spring is a time of renewal for us all whether we want to change the décor of our home or just plain downsize.  Treasures Anew is here to meet your needs.  You can find gems for your garden or you can consign your treasures for others to enjoy.   And if you’re getting ready for your upcoming daughter’s/son’s wedding, we just might have some items that could compliment your overall décor.  Just come by and have a peak or visit our web site at www.treasuresanew.ca.
